Victorian Plumbing Solar PV Installation

Victorian Plumbing Solar PV Installation

In a move that’s expected to reduce its carbon footprint significantly, Victorian Plumbing, a leading UK-based bathroom and kitchen solutions provider, has installed a massive solar PV system at their new site in Leyland. The impressive installation, designed and delivered by Genfit, is set to generate enough clean energy to power the company’s operations for months to come.

The solar PV system, spanning an impressive 823.62kWp of installed DC power, is our largest commercial solar installation of the year so far taking around 3 weeks to complete. Comprising 1554 high-efficiency solar panels from Longi, the system will generate approximately 656.94 megawatt-hours of electricity annually, equivalent to 5,835 trees being planted.

The solar PV system will provide a significant portion of the energy needed to power Victorian Plumbing’s offices, warehousing facilities, and manufacturing operations on site. This will not only reduce the company’s reliance on fossil fuels but also help mitigate its carbon footprint by avoiding an estimated 127 tons of CO2 emissions each year.

Genfit’s team of experts worked closely with Victorian Plumbing to design and install the solar PV system using the Solaredge Designer App, ensuring seamless integration with the existing infrastructure. The company’s state-of-the-art equipment and expertise enabled the team to optimize the system’s performance and maximize energy generation.

Director of Genfit Dave Houson had this to say about the installation “We are extremely happy to have successfully installed a 823.62 kWp solar PV system on our most significant project of the year so far at Victorian Plumbing using the best technology from Solaredge and Longi. This shows our dedication to building a greener future. This installation involved overcoming various challenges, including working within tight timeframes and ensuring the highest safety standards throughout the project. By implementing a safe system of work, we navigated these complexities effectively, ensuring the project was completed without incident.

This achievement is a clear demonstration of our commitment to integrating green energy solutions for businesses. The positive outcome has not only exceeded our client’s expectations but has also set a new standard for sustainability within the industry. The successful installation has reduced the carbon footprint of this major development significantly, contributing directly to a more sustainable future.

Being part of such a large-scale project allows us to showcase our expertise in renewable energy solutions. We’re thrilled to have partnered on a project that will have lasting positive impacts for years to come. For other businesses looking to implement similar solutions, we bring the same dedication, expertise, and commitment to safety, ensuring successful outcomes for projects of all sizes across the country.”

This significant investment in renewable energy underscores Victorian Plumbing’s commitment to sustainability and corporate social responsibility. As businesses continue to prioritise environmental sustainability, Genfit remains at the forefront of delivering customised solar solutions that meet their unique needs and goals.

Getting Our B Corperation Certification

We got our B Corperation certification whilst this project was on going so what better way to show off our B Corperation certification by celebrating it on our biggest commercial install of the year.

We are so proud to have achieved such a high score – but we are not stopping there. Ever since our inception, we have had core values of people and planet before profit and so becoming a Bcorp was a decison that was part of our DNA already. However the structure of the BIA assessment has already made us better and we know how to continue to improve which we are 100% commited to.

Secure Trust Bank Solihull

Secure Trust Bank Solihull

In Early January we installed a 70.49 kWp solar PV system at Secure Trust Banks Solihull site following our successful installation at one of their other sites based in Cardiff. The system consists of 133 LR5-66HTH-530M Longi Solar Panels with 67 Solaredge S1200 optimisers and 2 Solaredge 25K inverters.

Our goal is to continue installing solar panels on commercial buildings across the United Kingdom and helping the environment by reducing carbon emissions for businesses. This installation will save around 12 tonnes every calendar year which is the equivalent to 536 trees being planted. Also the 60.40 MWh of solar energy being produced annually from the solar-powered system will help power the electricity day to day across the site and will dramatically drop the company’s expenses in electricity bills.

Well Fed at Home Solar PV Installation

Well Fed at Home Solar PV Installation

Back in May we completed a 102.66 kWp solar panel installation at Well-Fed at Home based in Deeside. The solar panel system was designed to harness the power of the sun and reduce the factories carbon footprint. Genfit’s expert team worked closely with Well Fed at Home to ensure a seamless installation process, ensuring minimal disruption to daily operations. With this new solar installation, Well Fed at Home is now able to generate clean energy and reduce its reliance on traditional fossil fuels, aligning with its commitment to sustainability and community well-being. The installation is also expected to save the store thousands of pounds on energy costs over the life of the system.

The 102.66 kWp system consists of 236 Longi solar panels with half the amount of optimisers connecting to 2 solar panels each wired up to the two SolarEdge 33.3K inverters which were placed in the office above the factory. The system is estimated to produce 82.73 MWh of solar energy every year and reduce there carbon footprint by 16 tonnes which is equivalent to 735 trees beign planted.
