Love my new solar panels. Found Genfit much better priced than other company “the big 6” energy companies use. The team ever time I spoke with them where lovely people. Glad to have given them the business. Found communication a little slow with them in early days of having it done, but I think that was more down to global supply. Also glad to have used them due to the quality of the materials and warranty I get from them.

Overall an excellent experience. The system works as specified at the agreed price. Workmen were very professional. The paperwork got in a muddle but I do not believe this was down to Genfit and it all got sorted very amicably, Easy to contact at all times. All very good.
Excellent company! 10 out of 10 for everything from start to finish! We are thrilled to bits with our in-roof panels (installed when the scaffolding was up for a new roof), flat roof panels (installed later, after a new rubber membrane roof) and solar battery. We thank our lucky stars that we came across Dave Houston and Genfit. He has a brilliant team working for him. They are all hardworking, polite, courteous and very friendly people. We particularly appreciated being kept fully informed of developments, throughout the process, by Brenda the General Manager. Every effort was made to accommodate our needs and timings. The ‘Operation and Maintenance Handover Pack’ (with certificates, warranties, diagrams, datasheets and checklists) is very comprehensive and informative! The app keeps us fully up to date with how each panel and the whole system (including the battery) is performing – and it is all far exceeding our expectations. The instant feedback has resulted in us changing when we use certain appliances so that we now make the most of the power that is, or has been, generated. Genfit are very highly recommended.

From the initial advisory discussion, to the project design followed by the hardware installation, the commissioning of the system and the follow-up service, this company is excellent. As a customer one feels valued and there is always friendly and prompt support at the end of a phone.
Project management is of a very high standard as is the level of available expertise. Upon completion of installation work on our premises, all surplus materials were removed for recycling. We recommend Genfit without hesitation: quality products, and exceptional service.

The story began about a year ago. We suddenly realised that the whirring of the comforting pump were no longer there, there was no hot water. I scratched my hear for a bit and then called Solartwin [Genfit]. A very helpful conversation with a colleague who agreed that when, in the next few weeks someone would be in the area we could have an engineer call and check. I think I did follow up a bit however nothing happened.
However, when I called recently there was a different experience. Brenda listened carefully, suggested some options. I was able to assess what I could do, we took a guess that a replacement pump head might fix it. That was posted arrive next day. Unfortunately there continued to be a problem, with encouragement I removed the pump and test with a battery. result: agreement to buy a new pump but with a reasonable discount to deal with the cost of the pump head. Good result. It’s whirring beautifully and making hot water. I have now received your guidance about temperature and thermostat problems, however, all is well so far.

I was very impressed by the speed in which my query was dealt with and the follow up email quote was very speedy. Wit the current situation in regards to lock down I wasn’t expecting to be able to purchase the required parts however the staff assured me the parts were available and would be fully sanitised prior to packing and posting. A very professional service which I would not hesitate to use again. Thank you
Dave, Joseph and Brenda at Genfit are knowledgeable, professional, and friendly. I recently needed to fault-find an issue with our Solartwin panel and received great phone support to diagnose the problem and then get supplied witha replacement part – all done efficiently whilst under covid-19 lockdown. Highly recommended.
Recently had to call out GenFit to fix a roof problem underneath my solar panels. Great service and very efficient, they even spotted other problems whilst they were up there and fixed them. Good job for a fair price.
Were to start… it has been a long journey as the job was not easy or small and we faced a lot of obstacles and challenges thrown at us by Scottish power. However, Genfit managed them all with style! The entire team I dealt with and still do are brilliant, they are ALWAYS helpful and go out of their way to make sure everything is as it should be. They steeped up to the plate with every challenge and hit it out of the park. The system I have is amazing, even though it took so long to go in, plus we are now in a Scottish winter I can see how good it is going to be when the days get longer. I can’t fault them in any area so I must say if your looking for a team to do the job then you have found it! Look no further..

I’ve been really impressed by Genfit. The office has been great to deal with and your electricians and fitters have been courteous, reliable, tidy and have completed the fit to a really high standard. Simple things like boxing in, how they have cut the angles so it all looks neat, tidy cabling etc. You lifted all my carpets upstairs to route the wiring and when I came home, you couldn’t tell, everything was back in its place, tidy, hoovered! I deal with a lot of trades and you don’t see this very often. Highly recommended.
When we were looking to fit PV Solar to our house we looked for a local firm who had been in the business for some time and with a good reputation. We looked at several but chose Genfit and have been impressed with their service, even when things don’t go according to plan they sort them out. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable and committed to making sure the installation is correct. We decided to upgrade to solar edge after our old inverter broke down. We received excellent advice rather than sales pitch, right through the process, as initially we had assumed we would just change like for like. The whole team were courteous, friendly and professional. Great job and tidied up after themselves. The new system is as good as they said and we are finding it really informative and it is definitely helping us keep track of our usage. We’re really pleased. Would not hesitate to recommend- great job!!
From the initial design of our 7kWp/Tesla Powerwall system to the final project sign off, GenFit could not be faulted. The pre-installation arrangements were carried out efficiently and we were keep fully informed of what to expect, and when. The actual installation – an in roof system – and 20 panels took 3 days. The on-site team leader had not only to manage the installation of the panels on 2 roofs, plus a Powerwall in the garage, but he had to ensure full COVID 19 security whilst carrying out the work. Despite this additional burden, he was always courteous, and nothing was ever too much trouble. He even offered to help bring our online grocery delivery to our door! A day or so after the installation, the team leader returned at our request to replace a chipped slate. Whilst on-site, he decided to make some minor adjustments to the panel array to improve the overall look.
The PV array and Powerwall battery are working flawlessly in conjunction with a Zappi EV charger and EDDI diverter, and we could not be more pleased with the overall result. The flows of energy around the system from the array to the battery; to the EV charger and to the cylinder diverter are seamless. As I post, we are fully Off Grid; the battery is fully charged; the HW cylinder re-heated and we are exporting electricity on what is a cloudy afternoon.
Despite the challenges posed by Covid 19, GenFit has delivered everything that we have asked of it. We would unreservedly recommend this Company to anyone thinking of installing a PV solar array and battery. GenFit will not let you down.

Our battery installation ran a little over the projected 2 days due largely to investigating and resolving issues with, and then mating up with, the preexisting solar installation (Well known supplier of which I’ll not mention!) and the guy’s attention to detail in ensuring aesthetic perfection! All boxes and cable runs were positioned (and repositioned if ‘crossing’!) by spirit level and the guys still found time to advise on a couple of non related wiring issues. (The tea and cakes maybe helped!)
All in all a pleasant and interesting couple of days, and nice to know Joseph, managing the technical side, is monitoring and available on the phone if ever needed. And they weren’t even the most expensive!
I bought and self installed a solartwin hot water panel in 2008. Love the simplicity and robustness of design and especially that it runs on its own power from the PV panel. Takes the water from the bottom of the hot water tank and heats it, laying it back into the top of the tank. No antifreeze or electricity required ! South West facing roof in Somerset – a sunny summers day gives a full tank of hot water, any normal sunny or even in winter partly sunny day still adds heat so less work for the gas boiler. So – we found our gas bill halved and calculated a payback from cost + self install to be 6 years. (Gas used for boiler for central heating/hot water and hob) Still working very well after 12 years (funnily enough so is the 25+ year old boiler because its working less hard !) Just replacing the pump (valve section) for the second time (£90), easy to do so I’m not complaining, hence my recent contact with Genfit. Cleaned the panel for the first time recently. Stick a bag of water softener salt in the top up tank once a year and thats about it. Great value and really don’t know why more people don’t do it !! Just found out today that the price of these is almost the same that I paid 12 years ago – yet gas is way more expensive – doesn’t take a genius to see the value.
Recent service of Solartwin water heating system efficient, friendly,replaced a part,reassured about age and efficiency of panel,fixed temperature display panel. Gave us confidence to ask for assistance again if needed.
Despite a few glitches this company were reliable & professional. The bottom line is I would use them again & have already recommended them to a friend.
