TMT

TMT

As part of their commitment to reducing carbon emissions and improving energy efficiency across their property portfolio, TMT appointed Genfit to deliver a turnkey solar PV solution on one of their commercial buildings in Altrincham, Greater Manchester. The project involved the installation of a 26.75 kWp rooftop system, consisting of 50 high-performance LONGi solar panels combined with SolarEdge inverter technology. The system is expected to generate approximately 22.89 MWh of clean electricity annually, resulting in a carbon saving of 4.43 tonnes per year—the equivalent of planting 203 trees.

This investment demonstrates TMT’s proactive approach to sustainability, not only as a means of reducing environmental impact, but also as a strategic decision to mitigate rising energy costs and enhance long-term operational resilience. The adoption of SolarEdge technology ensures maximum system efficiency through panel-level optimisation and real-time performance monitoring, offering greater control and visibility over energy generation.

Genfit provided full end-to-end delivery—from system design and technical specification through to installation and commissioning—with minimal disruption to the site. This project highlights the value of integrating renewable energy into commercial buildings and showcases how organisations like TMT are leading the way in responsible energy management and climate-conscious investment.

Finest Aquatics Upgrade Their System

Finest Aquatics Upgrade Their System

Genfit recently returned to Finest Aquatics in Widnes to complete an upgraded solar PV system installation, taking their existing setup to the next level. The original installation featured LONGi panels and provided a solid foundation for reducing grid reliance, but as the business continued to grow, so did its energy needs. To support this, we installed an upgraded 101.37 kWp system using more LONGi panels, integrated seamlessly into the existing SolarEdge system for optimised performance and monitoring.

This upgrade significantly boosts the site’s solar generation capacity, giving Finest Aquatics even more control over their energy usage and operational costs. With high electricity demand from water filtration systems, lighting, heating, and general operations across the facility, the expanded system helps offset a substantial portion of this load. By generating more of their own clean electricity on-site, the business can reduce its energy bills and carbon footprint simultaneously—strengthening its environmental credentials while supporting long-term sustainability goals.

The use of DMEGC panels in this phase of the installation offered a high-efficiency solution that complements the existing infrastructure. The SolarEdge system continues to provide detailed performance data across both phases, allowing the team at Finest Aquatics to track their solar energy production in real-time. This upgraded system not only supports the day-to-day running of the business but also helps future-proof it against rising energy prices—offering a solid return on investment both financially and environmentally.

Boughton Hall Cricket Club

Boughton Hall Cricket Club

Genfit recently completed a solar PV installation at Broughton Hall Cricket Club, delivering a clean energy solution that supports both the club’s environmental values and its financial sustainability. The system comprises 32 high-efficiency DMEGC panels, forming a 14.08 kWp array that’s integrated with a SolarEdge inverter setup for optimal energy production and detailed system monitoring.

This installation represents a significant step forward for the club in reducing its reliance on the grid and cutting down on operational costs. With facilities that include floodlights, bar areas, and regular events throughout the season, electricity consumption can be substantial. The new solar system helps to offset much of this demand by generating clean energy on-site, making day-to-day running more efficient and cost-effective.

Over its lifetime, the system is expected to deliver impressive savings of £88,256, easing financial pressure and allowing the club to reinvest more into community activities and facilities. The SolarEdge system provides visibility over energy generation and performance, giving the club greater control and insight into how their solar investment is working for them. As well as the financial benefits, this move strengthens the club’s commitment to environmental responsibility, setting a positive example for local sports organisations and the wider community.

Brookside Hall

Brookside Hall

Brookside Hall has taken a significant step toward sustainability by integrating renewable energy into its operations through Genfit’s installation of a 49.50kWp Solar PV system, featuring high-performance DMEGC panels and advanced SolarEdge products. This project, focused exclusively on the installation phase, demonstrates how precise execution and innovative technology can transform a building into a sustainable energy hub.

The process began with a thorough assessment of the rooftop to ensure that all structural and safety prerequisites were met before the DMEGC panels were carefully mounted. They were all aligned perfectly and have long-term stability against environmental factors. During the electrical integration phase, SolarEdge inverters and monitoring systems were incorporated to efficiently convert solar energy and provide real-time performance data, thereby optimising the overall system performance. Rigorous quality assurance checks were conducted throughout the process to ensure every component met high-quality standards, resulting in a reliable transition to clean energy without compromising safety.

As a result, Brookside Hall now significantly reduces its carbon footprint while enhancing energy efficiency, serving as a benchmark for sustainable infrastructure and setting a new standard for renewable energy solutions.
