Boys & Boden, a leading name in the construction supplies industry, has taken a significant step toward sustainability with the installation of an 808.08kWp solar PV system at their Pear Stairs site in Newtown. Designed and installed by Genfit, this high-capacity system utilizes advanced LONGi solar panels and SolarEdge inverters, ensuring optimal performance, efficiency, and safety.

Delivering a maximum achieved AC power of 549.50kW and generating 673.96MWh of solar energy annually, this system is a game-changer for the business. It not only reduces their reliance on grid electricity but also slashes operating costs through significant energy savings. Environmentally, it’s a powerhouse—saving 130.33 tonnes of CO2 emissions each year, equivalent to planting 5,986 trees.

In our commitment to driving sustainable energy solutions, we recently completed a 120.38kWp solar PV installation at a Leisure Centre in Wilmslow

. This state-of-the-art system, equipped with LONGi panels and SolarEdge inverters, exemplifies efficiency and innovation, delivering a maximum achieved AC power of 82.8kW and an annual energy production of 95.98MWh.

The environmental impact is equally impressive, with the system saving 18.56 tonnes of carbon emissions annually—the equivalent of planting 853 trees every year. By leveraging the high performance of LONGi panels and the advanced monitoring and optimization capabilities of SolarEdge technology, this installation not only supports the leisure centre’s sustainability goals but also sets a benchmark for renewable energy in community facilities.

Late last year, we collaborated with Grimsby Community Energy to deliver a high-performing solar PV installation for CATCH UK in Grimsby. The system, boasting an installed DC power capacity of 308.46kWp, represents a significant step towards sustainable energy for this community-focused organization.

For this project, we utilized premium LONGi panels and SolarEdge inverters—products we consider to be among the best for commercial solar systems.
