Genfit is delighted to announce the successful installation of our second solar photovoltaic (PV) system at Norbar Torque Tools for Low Carbon Hub following our succsess with our previous 531.kWp solar PV installation. This project underscores our ongoing commitment to delivering sustainable energy solutions that reduce carbon emissions and promote environmental stewardship.
The newly installed solar PV system boasts an impressive 249.63 kWp of installed DC power and has achieved a maximum AC power output of 175 kW. Using high-efficiency products from SolarEdge and Longi, the system is engineered to optimize energy production and ensure long-term reliability.
Environmental Impact
This state-of-the-art installation is projected to produce 232.11 MWh of energy annually, leading to substantial environmental benefits. Specifically, it will save approximately 44.89 tonnes of CO₂ emissions each year, which is equivalent to planting 2,062 trees. These significant savings contribute not only to Norbar Torque Tools’ sustainability goals but also support broader initiatives to combat climate change.
Conclusion
By integrating cutting-edge technology from SolarEdge and Longi, Genfit has delivered a robust and efficient solar energy solution that sets a new benchmark for sustainability in the industry. We are proud to support Norbar Torque Tools and Low Carbon Hub in their commitment to renewable energy and look forward to continuing our partnership in driving environmental change. We continue to hold a strong working relationship with Low Carbon Hub and look forward to working more with them and other community energy companies in the future.

Quote From Our Director
“We are proud to have successfully installed our second solar PV array for Low Carbon Hub at the Norbar Torque Tools site in Banbury. This project presented a unique challenge due to the National Grid’s requirement for a G100 export limitation scheme, particularly with the incorporation of three phases of PV systems dated between 2015 – 2024. Our team was able to overcome these complexities, demonstrating our expertise and commitment to delivering high-quality, renewable energy solutions. As a certified B Corp, partnering with community investors and sustainably focused organisations such as Norbar is high on our agenda, we look forward to delivering further solar PV schemes with Low Carbon Hub in future.”
