Project Overview

Genfit completed a rooftop Solar PV installation at Harpenden Memorial Hospital, delivered for Central London Community Healthcare NHS Trust (CLCH).

The project involved the installation of a new Solar PV system across the hospital roof, designed to generate clean renewable electricity directly on site and help reduce the building’s reliance on grid-supplied energy.

By making use of available roof space, the installation provides the hospital with a long-term renewable energy asset while supporting CLCH’s wider sustainability and carbon reduction objectives.

The completed system will help lower carbon emissions, improve on-site energy generation and contribute towards a more sustainable healthcare estate.

System Design & Technology

The installation utilises a SolarEdge commercial PV system, designed to provide high-efficiency energy conversion, module-level optimisation and detailed system monitoring.

Green Tick 1 × SolarEdge SE50K Synergy Manager inverter provides 50 kW maximum AC power and efficient three-phase conversion across the system.

Green Tick 75 × SolarEdge S1000 power optimisers help maximise module performance while providing detailed module-level monitoring.

Green Tick 147 DMEGC solar panels make up the 72.86 kWp system, including 131 × 500W modules and 16 × 460W modules.

Green Tick Advanced SolarEdge monitoring and safety features provide real-time system visibility, optimiser-level performance data and enhanced DC safety.

The system is designed to generate approximately 67.32 MWh of renewable electricity each year, saving around 13 tonnes of CO₂ annually.
