Genfit recently completed a solar PV installation at Broughton Hall Cricket Club, delivering a clean energy solution that supports both the club’s environmental values and its financial sustainability. The system comprises 32 high-efficiency DMEGC panels, forming a 14.08 kWp array that’s integrated with a SolarEdge inverter setup for optimal energy production and detailed system monitoring.

This installation represents a significant step forward for the club in reducing its reliance on the grid and cutting down on operational costs. With facilities that include floodlights, bar areas, and regular events throughout the season, electricity consumption can be substantial. The new solar system helps to offset much of this demand by generating clean energy on-site, making day-to-day running more efficient and cost-effective.

Over its lifetime, the system is expected to deliver impressive savings of £88,256, easing financial pressure and allowing the club to reinvest more into community activities and facilities. The SolarEdge system provides visibility over energy generation and performance, giving the club greater control and insight into how their solar investment is working for them. As well as the financial benefits, this move strengthens the club’s commitment to environmental responsibility, setting a positive example for local sports organisations and the wider community.
