Alex Lyon House Solar Panel Install

Genfit recently completed a high-performance solar PV installation at Alex Lyon House in York, designed to significantly reduce grid dependency, lower energy costs, and support the site’s long-term sustainability goals. The bespoke system combines cutting-edge SolarEdge technology, high-efficiency SPR-P7-450-BLK panels, and substantial on-site energy storage, delivering a total installed DC power of 43.20 kWp with a maximum achieved AC power of 25.00 kW. The installation features 96 solar modules, optimised with S1000 devices, and is powered by one SE25K inverter alongside three SE5K-RWB48 Home Hub backup-ready three-phase inverters, supported by three SolarEdge Home Batteries (48V, 5 Modules each). Connected by 358 metres of 6 mm² DC cable, the system achieves an annual usable solar production of 39.09 MWh, saving an estimated 7.56 tonnes of CO₂ emissions each year – equivalent to planting 347 trees annually. Designed for long-term performance, the installation not only provides significant operational savings but also contributes meaningfully to the building’s environmental commitments and the UK’s net-zero targets.
