In 2022, Genfit proudly completed a solar PV installation at Huyton Library, a landmark project aimed at enhancing the library’s sustainability and reducing its carbon footprint. This initiative was part of Knowsley Council’s broader commitment to promoting renewable energy solutions across their properties.

The installation featured a total of 154 high-performance BYD solar panels, paired with a Solaredge 33.3k inverter and 77 Solaredge P80 power optimizers. This configuration was meticulously designed to ensure maximum energy generation and efficiency while seamlessly integrating with the library’s existing infrastructure.

Installed DC Power (kWp)

Max Achieved AC Power (kW)

Annual Energy Production (MWh)

CO2 Emission Saved (Tonnes)

Equivalent Trees Planted

These impressive statistics underscore the installation’s significant environmental impact, contributing to cleaner energy generation and supporting the council’s sustainability goals.

Environmental Impact

The solar PV system at Huyton Library is a testament to the power of renewable energy in driving sustainable change. The annual energy production of 39.49 MWh not only reduces the library’s reliance on non-renewable energy sources but also significantly cuts COâ‚‚ emissions by 7.64 tonnes each year. This is equivalent to planting 351 trees annually, further emphasizing the long-term benefits of this installation.

Conclusion

The Huyton Library solar PV installation stands as a shining example of Genfit’s expertise in delivering high-quality, impactful renewable energy solutions. By partnering with Knowsley Council, we have contributed to a greener future for the community and demonstrated the tangible benefits of solar power. This project continues to inspire similar initiatives across the region, driving the adoption of clean energy and fostering environmental stewardship.
